  • Took my 2 year old, he had a brillant day.
Staff on the front desk, provided us with information without me having to ask because it was our first time.
Overall had a brillant day :)

  • We took ma wee 3 yr old there and she loved it, it was excellent and had things for older children. Me and my husband found it interesting too. It's suitable for wheelchair and pushchair access as there are 3 big floor where all the attractions are and a lift.
There are plenty of interactive exhibitions e.g. a mini supermarket for younger kids to play in and build and race your own knex car and none were broken. At certain times of the day they do live experiments. We attended kitchen science and made honeycomb and learnt the science behind it. The scientist was very good and patient with the kids and included them all in the questions and experiment itself. We even got to take a piece oh honeycomb with the recipe home!
W5 has a calender of other free temp exhibits but none were on when we went. There is attendant around to help out if you don’t understand anything or want the science explained.
For the entrance fee you can stay all day. Being in the Odyssey complex there is plenty of places to eat but there is a cafe in W5 but you can bring your own food, if you had a larger family it would keep costs down. We went during the day as my wee girl is not in school and it wasn’t busy so we had the things all to ourselves not sure what it is like during school holidays but the place is huge so maybe not a problem.

  • We visit W5 last week with our two children and they loved everything. The children speak very little english but they had fun playing in all the areas. We stayed for 4 hours. The staffs were very friendly and helpful to show us where to eat. We will come back.

  • We visited W5 today especially to see the Wallace & Gromit exhibits. We had a brilliant day, with lots to see and do, and had great fun with the interactive 'toys'. All the staff were friendly and helpful- particularly Andrew as we paid our admission.

  • We took our four grandchildren yesterday to W5 for the first time and we were surprised that we hadn't been before! We really had so much fun making the plasticene animals together and took a picnic to really make a day of it. The staff were lovely and there is too much to do in one day. I suppose we'll have to come back...

  • Can I first off all compliment you on your amazing facility. I live in Drogheda in County Louth and my wife, three kids and myself made the journey to W5 last weekend. It was a very worthwhile journey, the kids enjoyed it and to be truthful I think I enjoyed it more!

  • I went with my sister, husband, and twin 1 1/2 year olds last weekend...and it was AMAZING! Even the adults couldn't help but try out a few things, and even though the girls were so young, there was still so much for them to see and do. Lucky for us we are from Belfast, and can visit anytime! I would recommend visiting the W5 to anyone with children. I was just amazed at all the different things to see and do. It's a great learning experience...no matter what your age!!
