Whowhatwherewhenwhy (W5) is a wholly owned subsidiary company of the National Museums Northern Ireland and part of Odyssey, the Landmark Millennium Project for Northern Ireland.

W5 is a limited liability company registered in Northern Ireland and is accepted as a charity by HMRC. W5 has a trading subsidiary company, W5Online Limited with number NI 39106. Details of the Company information is given below.

The Directors of the Company are made up of Trustees of the National Museums Northern Ireland and the Chief Executive, who is the Accounting Officer. Details of the Trustees of the National Museum can be found at www.nmni.com

W5 is a leading visitor attraction, educational centre and corporate facility. We aim to grow our visitor numbers by engaging visitors with educational and enjoyable exhibits, exhibitions and events delivered with excellent customer service. We support the Programme for Government by attracting tourists to visit Northern Ireland, promoting science, technology, engineering and mathematics and promoting tolerance, inclusion, health and well being. We support the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure's aims to create a confident, creative, informed and vibrant community.

Our exhibits, events and programmes, together with our key partnerships, continue to contribute to the social, educational, economic and health benefits as envisaged when W5 was opened to the public on 31st March 2001.

With the support of our funding partners, the Department of Culture Arts and Leisure (DCAL) and the Odyssey Trust Company (OTC), we will continue to contribute to the Programme for Government and to the success of the Odyssey Complex.
