W5 - Community Relations

In line with the CR Guidelines issued by the Department of Education, we are offering a progressive three part programme for two or more schools. Key stage 2 only.

Session1: The Community Relations workshop at W5 allows pupils to explore similarities and differences between themselves and others.  This can also be booked as a workshop at W5 without session 2 and 3.

Session 2: Held at one of the schools and led by W5 staff, children work in mixed groups to discover information about the local area, including aspects of physical geography transport links and land use.

Session 3:  This is held at the other partner school and led by teachers, using materials supplied by W5 and information collected from the previous session.  Pupils work together to plan a leisure facility that all children would enjoy using and sharing.
