Diagnostic radiographers obtain and interpret images for diagnosis: therapeutic radiographers use radiation in the treatment of cancer and other diseases. 

Dietitians apply nutritional information to help people develop healthy diets. 

Occupational therapists work with other health professionals to develop and maintain an effective level of activity for patients.  (Therapy is the prevention or treatment of diseases, or physical or mental disorders.) 

Podiatrists (or chiropodists) diagnose and treat abnormalities and diseases of the lower leg and foot.

Physiotherapists use movement and exercise to improve the health of people’s bodies. 

Registered nurses (child branch) care for babies, children and adolescents with acute or chronic illnesses, injuries or disabilities. 

Registered nurses (adult branch) treat patients over sixteen with acute or chronic illnesses, injuries or disabilities. 

Registered nurses (mental health branch) help patients with mental illnesses overcome or adapt to living with their conditions. 

Registered nurses (learning disability) help children and adults cope with learning disabilities. 

Rehabilitation engineers build and maintain mechanical, electronic and computer controlled equipment to help people with disabilities. 

Speech and language therapists treat people with difficulties in speaking or swallowing.
